Paying a visit to The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night along with her mother, Georgia Holt, Cher found herself slightly embarrassed when Leno displayed a mugshot of a 13-year-old Cher.
It all happened when Leno brought up the story of Cher stealing a car as a child. Both Cher and her mother disagreed that it was stealing, and Cher went on to explain how the “misunderstanding” came to take place.
Regardless, the run-in with the law resulted in a booking photo which Leno was happy to display to his late night audience.
Cher, 66, and Holt, 85, are currently promoting their upcoming Lifetime documentary Dear Mom, Love Cher. The one-hour documentary debuts Monday, May 6th at 10PM on Lifetime. The project was initially taken on by Cher as a gift for her mother’s 86th birthday.
